Troisième Café is a quaint but high-quality speciality coffee shop located in Wilmington, Delaware. I discovered it sometime last year and have been hooked ever since.

On Sunday, I decided to have breakfast there right before my weekly acting class, and as always, it was a pleasant visit. My favorite thing about Troisième Café is the genuine connection you feel with the owners and baristas. If you are a frequent guest, they remember your name and connect with you.
The space has a certain warmth and authenticity that cannot be duplicated. It reminds me of a cafe I used to frequent when I lived in New Orleans. The cafe's name was Krewe du Brew Coffee House, serving high-quality drinks and meals. It also displayed an array of artwork, as Troisième Café does.
As someone who has worked in food service, hospitality, and customer service, I understand what it looks like to be on either side of the counter. So whenever I check out a new restaurant, there are a few things that I am looking for:
Friendly service
Delicious food
Cleanliness
Consistency with all of the above
I can honestly say that Troisième Café hits each one of these targets every single time. Another aspect I enjoy about this cafe is the overall aesthetic, including the slate serving board on which the food is served. As soon as you enter the cafe, you will see art all around, which directly appeals to my love for art as a creative. These pieces are usually available for purchase, allowing you to not only indulge in and savor quality foods but also become a patron of the arts all in one go. Last but certainly not least, the music playlist is always a nice mix of genres, loud enough to enjoy but quiet enough to get some writing done.
I truly can’t recommend this cafe enough. It has become one of my top three favorite cafes in the area, and I hope that it becomes one of yours as well.
