Review 4: Cedar SEE Vision Center
Diamond State Review 4: Cedar SEE Vision Center
Recently, I took a trip to Cedar SEE Vision Center, located in Middletown, Delaware. I have visited this eye doctor’s office a few times in the past, but today I was extra excited because I was finally getting contacts again. As a lifelong glasses wearer, it can be hard to rock certain styles of shades and sunglasses when I have my glasses on, so you can imagine how exciting this moment was for me.
So, let's get the basics out of the way: what is Cedar SEE Vision Center?
cedar see vision center
noun phrase/place
a premier eye care center in middletown, delaware
a cozy new eye doctor office with excellent patient care, with an in-house optical, and FREE snacks
a delaware gem
Cedar SEE Vision Center is a premier eye care center that just opened up last summer. Run by two optometrists, it features an in-house optical facility where patients can select new frames if needed. Their optical is filled with some beautiful frames from a wide variety of local, national and international brands. I would highly recommend purchasing some frames or sunglasses from them too. I purchased my current red frames from them, and I always get compliments.
The office provides multiple services, including comprehensive eye exams, pediatric eye care, vision therapy, and myopia control. Shout out to my fellow nearsighted folks. I know it's hard for us out here—Cedar SEE has us covered. Speaking of covered, they also accept most vision and health insurance plans. You can also pay for services out of pocket, and they accept Care Credit for those who may need financial flexibility.
The location is brand new, clean, and fresh. I can recall some former doctor's offices that were outdated, cluttered, and made me feel uncomfortable overall. However, Cedar SEE is the opposite. The staff is warm, inviting, and personable. They are also super active on social media, which is fantastic, especially in today's world. Whenever I see a brand online, I like to review its content or website to see how things are before I go. Of course, sometimes that isn't possible, but I am happy to SEE it when it is.
My eye doctor, Dr. Korley, is always super helpful and informative during my appointments, which helps ease any anxiety I may have. It's essential to find medical providers who genuinely care about your health, and she has demonstrated this at every visit. I was nervous about getting contacts again since I hadn't worn them in over 10 years, but it's been a few days, and I am enjoying my experience. I appreciate how patient Dr. Korley was in helping me readjust to wearing contact lenses.
Outside of the kindness, expert care, and relaxing environment, they also provide FREE snacks and drinks for patients as they wait to be seen. I don't know about anyone else, but I have never seen this at any other doctor's office. I have been in many waiting rooms for hours with hunger pangs waiting to be seen, but at Cedar SEE, that is no problem. The wait time is also fairly short which is an added bonus.
Another thing I appreciate is the flexibility of their hours. While they are generally open between 9am-4pm most days, on Tuesdays, they are open later, from 12pm-7pm, which is helpful for those who may work during the day and cannot make their appointments earlier. They are also open on Saturdays by appointment, which is useful for those with work schedules that don't align with most doctor hours.
This past January, they held their grand opening celebration and, since then, have racked up a consistent 5-star rating on Google. I am big on Google Reviews, especially as someone who is very fair and honest in my brand ratings. With that said, I can see why they stand at a 5-star rating. Overall, Cedar SEE Vision Center is a solid 10/10. I have no notes for them at the moment—just keep the excellent service coming and the snacks, too.
If you live in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania or even New Jersey, I highly recommend this location to you as your new eye doctor. Give them a call today, and tell them I sent you. I hope that you enjoy this Diamond State Gem just as much as I do.
